She watched their stares of curiosity
Transform from acceptance to neglect
Left alone, she knew it was because she
Wasnt, what, they needed her to be
She wasnt a normal girl
She was not accepted
She danced with the wind
She was oh so different
She laughed aloud at jokes unknown
She sang out loud the songs she wrote
And when she ran her spirits soared
Nothing could her cheerfulness lower
So this was the girl, all alone
When shed had so many friends back home
Shed told herself, always be true
But its hard to be true when theyre laughing at you
So she stopped runnin, she stopped laughin,
She stopped singin, she stopped bein happy
She fit in, she was accepted
She was popular, invited to dances
She forgot the things she knew before
Like the power of happiness
She no longer soared
Instead of flyin, she crawled on the earth
Just another worm, eating the dirt
And as for the girl that flew
She was lost for good.

"What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away"
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it, then copy and paste this in your signature.
and i'm not that good lol. i'm only inspired by depressing things. once i'm happy again, there probably won't be any more poetry/songs
